B+H Architects Awarded Prestige Development Project by DAMAC Properties
B+H Wins Design Contract for First Residential Development in New Dubai Business Bay Valued at Over 400 Million Dhs
Dubai, UAE, Nov 19/2006/ -- B+H Architects, an architectural firm renowned for design, technical and project management excellence, was awarded the contract to provide schematic design and master planning for the ‘La Residence at the Lotus’, a spectacular 58-story four tower luxury development in the New Dubai Business Bay. DAMAC Properties, a luxury lifestyle provider and the region’s leading private sector developer, awarded the contract to B+H based on their breathtaking design that was inspired by petals of the ‘Lotus flower’.

DAMAC awarded the contract to provide schematic design and master planning of the entire property one week after B+H won the design contest against 3 other international architecture firms.

The architectural design of the spectacular 58-story towers is motivated by the petals of the Lotus flower. “Our inspiration for this project comes from the Lotus flower’s pedals and their dazzling beauty and serenity,” said Tonu Altosaar, Senior Partner at B+H Architects. “We designed the entire property with this in mind. Each of the four towers represents a pedal when partially opened, with the grounds and water enveloping the flower at the base.”
