Recycling Contracts Valued at $100 Million Brokered by Tactical Connections

Consulting Firm Hosts United Arab Emirate Dignitary and Helps Purchase Recycling Equipment From North American Companies

Toronto, ON, November 30/2007/ -- Tactical Connections announces that it has brokered over $100 Million Cdn in waste management contracts to Bee’ah – The Sharjah Environment Co., a United Arab Emirates based environmental solutions and services company. Four Canadian companies and one based in the US will supply everything from tire shredders to recycling bins. The Emirate of Sharjah is one of the fastest growing commercial locations in the United Arab Emirates.

Tactical Connections, a Toronto based Business Development and Marketing Firm, helps Canadian companies expand into the Middle East, Western Europe and North Africa. Over the past few months the firm has identified and negotiated local waste management solutions to Bee’ah. Bee'ah's objective is to introduce recycling by combining public-wide education with specific recycling programs and initiatives to the Emirate of Sharjah. The Recycling Program will be implemented in multiple phases over the next several years and once fully operational the recycling program is expected to divert approximately 400,000 tons of waste from Sharjah landfills per year.

Mr. Brad Kerr, COO of Tactical Connections said, "We are guiding Bee'ah to introduce recycling gradually in Sharjah. Our goal is to fully support recycling initiatives that will help transform Sharjah into a 'green' Emirate, by sourcing the most advanced and efficient equipment and technologies. We are honored to be helping Bee'ah make such a significant and historic impact, and we look forward to continued enthusiasm from future programs."

Over the past week Tactical Connections has hosted His Excellency Salim Bin Mohammed Al Owais, the Chairman of Bee'ah, who came to Canada to complete Sharjah’s Recycling Program agreements. Toronto’s Envyrozone Inc. was the first stop on the Chairman’s agenda where he finalized a deal worth almost $10 million to acquire 5000 recycling bins. These three-stream recycling bins are identical to the ones in the city of Toronto, which are focused on the collection of waste from the streetscape.

In addition to recycling bins, the team met with Allianz Madvac of Boucherville, Que. The company made its biggest single deal to date, by selling 60 street sweeping and cleaning machines to the Municipality of Sharjah. The deal was worth more than $8 million.

As a part of the waste diversion mandate of the Bee’ah Recycling Program, the team negotiated a letter of intent with Shred-Tech Corp. and Recycling Technologies Corp. (RTI), both of Cambridge ON. Shred-Tech will supply all machinery for a cryogenics tire recycling facility with RTI - a first of its kind in Sharjah - to make a variety of consumer and industrial products out of the rubber. Sharjah has some of the world’s largest tire landfills.

Additionally, the group signed a contract with CP Manufacturing Inc., a National City, California based company, which will provide all machinery for the Bee’ah material reclamation facility (MRF). The Sharjah MRF facility will be the largest single sorting and recycling facility in the world in terms of annual input and throughput. The contract is worth in excess of $25 million.

Another of the Canadian suppliers is Toronto-based architecture firm Bregman and Hamann, which is designing 11 buildings for Bee'ah as part of a $40 million construction contract.

These contracts are in addition to previous contracts already brokered by Tactical Connections including state-of-the-art waste-hauling trailers from Titan Trailers Inc. of Delhi, Ont.
